I want to know if you
believe in enchanted places?! :-) The same thing Stargirl asked Leo.
I think it's interesting to see who believes and who don't. I don't
believe but I have favorite places which I love. :-) And these places
aren't enchanted but they are wonderful like enchanted places. You
know what I mean? Sometimes I go to this places, sit down and I can
think about what ever. There is no one, only me and the nature. My
favorite place is in Czech and there is in a forest a rock. I climb
and sit down on the tip. I really love it there because I have a good
view and I'm higher to the sky.:-) Do you have a favorite or an
enchanted place?
Now we switch to Stargirl
and Leo: I think that the way how Stargirl change to “nothing” is
strange but I was impressed. It seems like a difficult thing and I
wouldn't do this. Because I cannot clear my mind. It's too difficult
for me. Do you ever tried it, to clear your mind and be nothing?

AntwortenLöschenI like your blog very much and your questions are interesting. I read the book 'Stargirl' too and in some points I think the same as you.
The part about enchanted places is one of the great parts in the book for me. So, I want to tell you about my thoughts and feelings.
At first I will answer your last question: Yes, I tried to clear my mind and be nothing, but I did this before I read the book. After reading I tried it again, it's very difficult. With a very high concentration, I can clear my mind up to a special point. But then...I can't go further. I believe it would be nice if I could do it like Stargirl - I think it would be great and a new feeling which only some persons can feel.
Your favourite place sounds wonderful and I know perfectly what you mean when you say your place is wonderful like enchanted places but not the same. Oh yes, I know what you mean! Of course!! Because I have also a favourite place! No, I have to correct myself: I've got two special and fantastic places. One of them is here in Germany, but two hours away. It's a big grassland with trees and a little creek with clear and blue water. At this place I can really relax and think about everything. It's just my place and I connect a lot of experiences and feelings with this unique place.
The second place is a big and old tree in Spain. The tree is older than me and I visit he every year when I stay in Spain. Since I was a child I discovered this tree and I love it! My tree is on the mountain where my grandfather lives and it's very silent there. I only can hear the birds and the wind in the leafes. When I sit in my tree I can see the city, the sea and the beauty of my lovely part of Spain. In my tree I feel free and it makes me happy to be there! I have a.... a special feeling when I am there, I can't describe it. It's a feeling which you must feel by yourself. At that moment, when you are at a special place where you have got an unbelievable feeling you will know: this is YOUR enchanted place!
Michi, I think you know what I mean and you will agree with me. Maybe we can talk about places like this - it would be great! ;-D

Löschenit's great that you read the book too. So we could talk about it and we know the book. It's nice that you tried it to clear your minde. I tried it too, but you know, it was too difficulte for me. I am really enthusiastic that you clear your minde and you've done it up to a special point. It's a "progress" if I can say it so. I think this is really cool becaus I wasn't able to clear my mind. In my brain are too much thinks and so I cannot delete all of them. It sounds a bit strange but so it is. I hope you know what I mean.
I think it's wonderful that you have two favorite places. You cannot have enough. In my opinion everybody needs a favorite place where he/she can thinks about everythink and I know you know what I mean because you have such places and you know the feeling. You feel free and this is what everyone needs. When you feel sad, you can go there. When you feel happy, you can go there. I'm really glad that you have such places. It's nice to know that somebody else have the same feeling as me when I'm at my favorite place. It feels like in an enchanted place but it's a "normal" place. I agree 100% with you because we both know such feelings and it's super to talk about it.
